Little Timbers is a large garden that was established during the 1930’s and features an Afro-montane forest, many mature trees, a natural stream and a lake. One of the previous owners was a Kirstenbosch curator who contributed significantly by restoring and introducing many new plantings in the 1980’s (in excess of 140 rhododendron species). This heritage continues.
