St Andrew’s Retreat

Sunday 7 November

With a backdrop of the Giant and surrounded by pristine farmland, St Andrew’s Retreat, a century-old sandstone church, is lovingly nestled in a garden of almost parterre-like sections inviting you down the path. Beyond the lych gate a pool is sheltered with thick plantings of Ou Hout, a pergola stands firm and proud under its heavy blanket of clematis, espaliered Methley plums stand with stretched arms the length of the potager garden, where herbs are ready for the picking – a peek inside this welcoming sanctuary would be impossible to resist!

Directions: From the N3 north of Mooi River, take the Hidcote offramp, turn right and continue until you reach a T-Junction. Turn left and St Andrew’s Retreat is 100 metres further on the right.
