Fine-Leaved White, Rankmagriet
Also known by indigenous growers as ‘Fine-Leaved White’ or ‘Rankmagriet’, it is an excellent coastal plant with a prostrate, trailing habit, and white daisy flowers from August to November. It tolerates shade or sun and requires regular watering and pruning to keep it neat. Its natural habitat is from Malmesbury and Caledon through to Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape, and up into KwaZulu-Natal.
This plant is a perfect example of indigenous groundcovers. They are low-growing, easy to care for plants that can fill the gaps between pavers, and creates a soft and romantic garden floor and will be in flower throughout the year.
