Bailey and Veronika Gilson

A country style garden with a magnificent view of Mondi Mountain and a touch of the rustic. Open lawns with a wide variety of plants and flowers focusing mainly on roses and a contrast with aloes and cycads. A vast variety of succulents adds to the diversity in this garden.

Directions: From Smithfield Guesthouse turn left towards Centocow. Travel 2kms. Turn right then immediately right at the stone wall at the sign A Cut Above Contracting.

Everfair Farm – Glen and Rayna Fletcher

Aloes and rocks, birds and bees, and a few indigenous trees!

Aslockton Farm – Ryan and Leigh Stokes

A large old sprawling farm garden that’s been given an eclectic creative edge. Old English style meets indigenous.

Directions: From Smithfield Guesthouse, turn right and go passed the Creighton Sports club and over the bridge. Take the immediate road to your right and drive for 5kms (you will pass an animal pound and an airstrip on your left). It is the second farm on your left (as the road bends). Look for the farm sign with their names.

Burnside Farm – Hayden and Karen Stokes

A beautiful sprawling farm garden that’s been enlarged over the years. Informal old English style with many roses. Indigenous elements have crept in over time, to blend styles.

Directions: From Smithfield Guesthouse, turn right towards Creighton village and then take the first road left before the municipality. You will see Farmgate the milk factory on your right. Carry on along this windy road for about a kilometre or two. The farm is the first property on the left, look out for their names on the sign post.

Bedford Farm – Dale and Roxy Hutton

An old farm garden which has been lovingly given a new lease on life. This feminine English country garden is juxtaposed by indigenous beds leading onto a natural stream and pond with a pasture turned food forest in the making.

Directions: From Smithfield Guesthouse, turn right and go past the Creighton Sports club and over the bridge. Take the immediate road to your right (D207) and drive for 5kms (you will pass an animal pound and an airstrip on your left). Bedford Farm is the first farm on your right (look out for the old rusty car).

Glen and Estelle Smith

Glen and Estelle’s antique museum and toy room in the heart of Creighton village is delightful. A one-of-a-kind collection of relics from yesteryear. It was started as a bit of fun during the busy days raising a family and with a passion for history it’s exploded into an overfull shed and garden.

Directions: In Creighton village, turn down (North) from Sinawe petrol station. Drive approx. 100m to the house and shed on the left. Signboards will be displayed.

Established just over a year ago, this beautiful garden offers an array of colours through a mix of annuals and perennials. Come and take a short walk through.
