Castle Ridge, 22 Pallinghurst Road, Westcliff
Designed in 1927 by architectural firm Stucke & Harrison, Castle Ridge is a 1920s Manor Home. Situated on the highest point on Westcliff’s ridge with a stone base mined from the area, this home and garden takes advantage of some of the best views of the city. Reworked and modernised by Joe Van Rooyen of JVR Architects in 2014, the home has protected heritage status and was modernised and restored back to its former glory. Unique features of the garden are the old trees and the rose garden. The garden you see today has been extensively redesigned and renovated by Gregory Mark Landscapes.

9 Christopherson Road, Dunkeld
This house was built in 1926 and is nestled in an English-style garden that covered several acres. Over the next 97 years the original property was subdivided several times and by 2012 the property had sat vacant for almost ten years leaving the house derelict. The garden was essentially a blank canvas as all that remained was the odd tree and shrub. A full-scale renovation of the house commenced in May of 2012 and Shirley Wallington was enlisted at the beginning of the project to help bring the garden back to life. The garden was divided into a series of rooms and defined spaces to make the garden feel more intimate and to draw attention away from the fact that the stand was an odd shape with many different levels. There will be a champagne bar in this garden.
