Helderberg Hospice Open Gardens 2026

The annual Helderberg Hospice Open Gardens invites visitors to step inside some of the Helderberg basin’s most beautiful private gardens for one special weekend, all while supporting local hospice and palliative care services.

Over three days, visitors can explore up to 12 participating gardens, each offering its own distinctive character and style. From indigenous landscapes and relaxed cottage gardens to formal designs and waterwise retreats, the event showcases the creativity, care and passion of local garden owners. A single ticket provides unlimited access to all participating gardens for the full three days, allowing visitors to enjoy the experience at their own pace and return to their favourites. Along the way, guests can stop for refreshments, browse plants available for sale and gather inspiration for their own gardens.

Visit the Garden of Remembrance

The weekend also offers an opportunity to visit the Helderberg Hospice Garden of Remembrance, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. This meaningful garden provides a peaceful space for reflection and remembrance, while recognising the people, families and community at the heart of Helderberg Hospice.

Every ticket purchased helps support the hospice’s work and the palliative care services it provides to the local community. • Dates: Friday 23 – Sunday 25 October 

• Times: 09:00-16:00 

• Tickets: Adults R140, Pensioner R120 and Children (0-18) Free with an accompanying adult.  Please note: For the privacy and security of participating homeowners, garden addresses are not published in advance. Maps can be collected from Helderberg Hospice from 09:00 on Friday, 23 October, and throughout the event weekend.
