Lutheran Gardens Retirement Village Open Gardens

The complex gardens on the whole, as well as several private gardens will be open to viewing. It is situated in a quiet residential area, overlooking the Hesketh Conservation Park. It is well known for its numerous species of aloes and huge variety of succulents.
Tree experts can enjoy the 85 labelled indigenous trees. Birdlife is abundant and approximately 50 species have been identified, including the purple crested lourie, paradise flycatcher and black-headed oriole. The helmeted guinea fowl are daily visitors to the gardens and the cry of the African fish eagle can often be heard.
Tickets: R30. Children under 12 free. Available at entrance gate on the day.
