Tegwan Farm – Shaun and Laurian van Huyssteen
A lovely farm garden with a scattering of old trees, which has been planted with over 1500 roses. This garden makes the most of its shallow soils and features beautiful arches with climbing roses. The addition of annuals adds splashes of vibrant colours throughout the garden. The garden is surrounded by lush pastures allowing the feeling of open space and amazing views of the berg.
Directions: At the first Bushmansnek turnoff from Underberg, travel 10.5km to the farm on the left.

Ambermere Farm – Derrick and Kim Corfe
A garden with a beautiful, open view of the Berg and a dam in front of the house to add the relaxing element of water close by. The garden is generally planted in colour groupings and most plants are kept well-manicured. Rocks and gently-hued succulents are featured. Hanging baskets suspended from branches, offer small pops of colour on another level.
Directions: Take the first Bushmansnek Road out of Underberg and travel for 7kms along the P125. Ambermere Farm is on the right.
Highlands Farm – Derek and Adelle Nicholson
A personally-grown garden with antique features, lovely rhododendrons, azalea bushes, old farm implements, beautiful roses with stunning views of the Berg!
Directions: Take the first Bushmansnek Road turn out of Underberg and travel for 6km. Turn left onto the D1. Travel exactly 8km on the D1 then turn left into Highlands Farm.

Elgin Farm – Ian and Jeannine Bonsma
Since moving to Elgin Farm in 2001, Ian, Jeannine, and their three children have cherished the beauty and tranquillity of their garden. It is a traditional farm garden with rolling lawns and breath-taking views. There are countless roses, perennials, and magnificent water elements in the garden. It is a garden that has and will always be an origin of countless memories for their family.
Directions: Travel for 4km from Underberg town towards Kokstad, turn right onto the Drakensberg Gardens Road and continue for 2km where you will find Elgin Farm on your righthand side.

Ericsberg Farm – Bryan and Paula Hein
A sprawling English garden on a dairy farm with lovely views of the Drakensberg beyond the Umzimkulu River. The historic pioneer homestead is surrounded by herbaceous borders, formally and informally planted with interesting colour and texture combinations. There is a quaint cottage garden, a rose garden, a formal vegetable courtyard and an enchanting woodland.

At the foot of Mt Sutherland, this free-styled all-encompassing farm garden is home to aged trees, hedges, shrubs and perennials. It has evolved over the years to incorporate a blend of organic, ironstone and sandstone dwellings, stables and sheds. Enjoy the sweeping lawns which give way to horse paddocks, big skies and uninterrupted views of the Southern Drakensberg and the Bushmansnek valley.
Directions: From Underberg, it is approximately 38km whether you choose to take the first Bushmansnek Road (it will be on your right) or the second Bushmansnek Road (it will be on your left).
