Kuhestan Gardens cover an area of 1,5 ha and is considered one of the most beautiful gardens in Magoebaskloof. With the renowned Woodbush indigenous forest as a backdrop and Helpmakaar stream at the bottom of the farm, Kuhestan Gardens have been in the making for over 20 years.
The gardens come alive every spring with azaleas, banksia, clivias, crab apple and cherry blossoms. Summer showcases varieties of hydrangeas, anemones, fuchsias and annuals. Japanese and Chinese maple trees colour the gardens in autumn.
Time: 9:00-12:00 daily.
Entrance: R30 adults, R10 children under 12.
Tickets: Available at the gardens.
Directions: Proceed straight at the stop sign at Haenertsburg towards the Magoebaskloof Hotel (10 km). 2.5 km after the hotel turn left into Houtbosdorp.
