Noordhoek Open Gardens 2026 

Noordhoek Open Gardens takes place on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October, giving visitors and gardening enthusiasts two days to explore a variety of beautiful local gardens while enjoying the warm hospitality of the Deep South.

Selected gardens will offer refreshments, while plants, ceramics and other garden treasures will be available for purchase. Guided tours of the Chapman’s Peak Nature Sanctuary will also take place on both days, offering visitors the opportunity to learn more about one of the last remaining areas of the endangered Cape Flats Dune Strandveld biome.

LARGE GARDENS 

• Sam and Andrew have sprawling lawns, lead to a pond with an island, magnificent views and shaded areas, where every colour of clivia has been grown.

• Kathy and Gavin have a magical, shade loving, forested garden and bonsai garden. Follow various paths that meander through the garden and along the stream. 

• Debbie and Chris have a beautiful terraced and landscaped garden with different garden rooms, linked together with magnificent sea and mountain views. 

• Isabelle and Tom have a tranquil rambling garden with an abundance of colourful flowering shrubs, a zen garden and relaxing benches to enjoy the space. 

INDIGENOUS GARDENS

• Mary and Nico have a sunny, colourful, waterwise, and wind-resistant garden boasts a large variety of plants and promises to be a treat for the eyes. 

• Daniela and Oliver have a magnificent marriage between house, view and garden! The fynbos garden, eco pool, cottage back garden and secluded firepit are a must to explore.

• Nola has an intense experience on a sloping garden, colour, artistry, variety and view make for a wonderful visit.

MEDIUM TO SMALL GARDENS

• Jennifer has a peaceful treat, with many years lovingly tendered. The two-level back garden leads to the front South African country garden. 

• Angela and Rob have a picture-perfect garden, winding around the house, features colourful indigenous and exotic plants, with a circular theme in the paving and lawns.

• Trish has an enchanting milkwood forest merges with unexpected delight into a sundrenched front garden, featuring steps to a concealed deck on top of the world.

• Angela and Justin have a profusion of colour bursts from a walled garden, once for vegetables and now for flowers, set in a larger family garden with many delights to discover.
