Plett Open Gardens 2022 – a special outdoor experience

Garden lovers along the garden route can look forward to the 10th Plett Open Garden Day when Plett Animal Welfare Service (PAWS) will again showcase four lovely local gardens. The featured gardens always offer much more than simply colourful displays as most of them are set against a spectacular backdrop of mountains and ocean and offer a variety in design and plantings. The Plett topography features steep hills and valleys, and some of our most beautiful gardens have been created on steep inclines to make the most of the views while designs incorporate terraces and use of natural rock. Several residential estates require strict indigenous plantings while others have a more flexible approach. One of the favourite destinations is Brackenridge Estate, where visitors can view not only a featured garden, but other gardens in the estate as well as marvellous views over the bay up to the Tsitsikamma mountains.
