Set against the backdrop of the Helderberg mountains in Somerset West, the gardens form part of a 326-year-old heritage estate that has been carefully restored and expanded over decades.

Directions: Take the ramp to Somerset West/Helderberg to the R44. Turn left towards Somerset West onto the R44. Approximately 1 km later, turn right at the traffic lights into Main Road, Somerset West. At the fourth set of traffic lights (a distance of approximately 1,5 km), turn left into Lourensford Road. Proceed for ±3,5 km, Vergelegen entrance road on your right.
