Bear’s Breeches

Bear’s Breeches comes from Southern Europe and is considered one of the earliest cultivated garden plants. It has the most interesting bracts that form on long stems in shades of green, grey, purple and pink that protect the white flowers with pink markings underneath them.
These long stems of the Bear’s Breeches are in sharp contrast to the large shiny green leaves that form at the base. This herbaceous perennial can grow in sun or shade and will grow in clumps 1-2m high from tubers.
