Bushman’s Poison
Acokanthera Oppositifolia is an evergreen shrub with dark green leaves. It grows to a height of 3 metres, with a spread of just over 2 metres. It carries clusters of fragrant white flowers in spring, which are followed in summer by attractive purple-black berries. It provides fruit and nesting sites, as well as attracting insects. It can be grown in sun or as an under-storey to other trees.
