White Pear

White Pear

White Pear is a bushy, evergreen tree that can easily be shaped into a slender growth form. The leaves are glossy and bright green and the smooth bark an attractive light grey. A profusion of lightly fragrant white flowers is produced in summer, followed by colourful berries that attract birds.

Cultivation: Fairly fast growing, it is suitable only for temperate regions and is frost hardy. Plant it in a sunny position and water it moderately.

Key attraction: It has neat, glossy foliage and dainty sprays of aromatic flowers. If left unpruned, it forms a good screen.

Size/Shape:
•Height and width: approximately 7m x 6m
•Form: a rounded crown with dense foliage
