Pompom Tree

pompom tree

The slender Pompom Tree is the perfect size for a small townhouse garden.

It has a rounded crown, blue-green leaves and attractive greyish-brown bark. It can be evergreen or deciduous, depending on the climate. It is ideal as a specimen tree, or for background planting in shrub beds.

Cultivation: It prefers temperate climates, but is frost hardy. Protect it from strong coastal winds. Growing quite quickly, it is best to plant it in a sunny spot and water it moderately.

Key attraction: The masses of spectacular, light, purplish-pink pompon flowers, which cover the little tree for two to three weeks in summer, are simply awesome.
•Height and width: approximately 6m x 5m.
•Form: rounded crown
