Watering Can Makeover

This aluminium watering can was given a makeover in a flash. Inspired by the colours of the flowers in a mixed bunch, we chose Garnet Symphony 2, Jamaican Ginger 3 and Tarragon Glory 2, all from Dulux.  

A general purpose primer was applied first and allowed to dry. Next we marked out the stripes with masking tape and painted the top and bottom sections.

When these were dry then new masking tape was applied so that we could paint the centre of the watering can in Jamaican Ginger. What a quick and effective way to turn a piece of gardening equipment into a decor item.
