If you live in a very cold area, pretty peonies will brighten your day.

Once you have them they are very long lasting – up to 50 years in ideal conditions and they are very hardy to frost. They grow well in a semi shaded or half day sunny position and need good loamy or even clay soil. Great for large containers or in flower beds.
