Bacon and Cherry Twists

A delicious and fun snack to keep you occupied while you cook the boerie and chops.

What you need:

  • 2 packets streaky bacon

For the marinade:

  • 1 tin cherries in syrup
  • 4 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 chillies, chopped
  • 4 tablespoons lemon juice
  • Skewers

Place two pieces of bacon on top of each other and twist them onto a skewer. To make the marinate heat the cherries, with the syrup, in a saucepan, and add all the other ingredients. Cook for 5 minutes and blend until smooth. Cool and pour over the bacon twists, and leave them to marinade. Place on the braai and cook through, basting with the sauce as you go. Makes around 14
