Gourmet Burger Patties
Make you own gourmet burgers: it’s the right thing to do. Make big batches and freeze the patties for quick meals later on.
What You Need to Make Gourmet Burgers
- 800g beef mince
- 400g pork mince
- 400g lamb mince
- 4 roasted garlic cloves
- 2 tablespoons
- Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- Dash of Tabasco
- ½ cup breadcrumbs
- ½ onion, grated
- 1 egg
- Chopped herbs like rosemary, parsley or thyme
It’s all about the baste
Braai basting sauce can take an ordinary braai to a super tasty one. Try this recipe for burgers, chicken and ribs. ½ cup Worcestershire sauce ½ cup soy sauce 1 cup water 1 teaspoon sugar 2 tablespoons wine vinegar ½ teaspoon black pepper 125g butter Mix all the ingredients in a saucepan. You can put this on the braai and cook on a medium heat for a minute. Stir to combine and use a basting brush to brush your meat.
Store in the fridge for up to 10 days and heat up before using again.
