Prawn and sausage skewers

These easy and delicious skewers can serve as a wonderful Sunday braai dish. Recipe serves 6.


18 prawns, deveined with their tails on

2 frankfurters, cut into 2cm rounds

2 cloves garlic, chopped

Juice and zest of 2 lemons

1 teaspoon chilli, chopped

4 tablespoons olive oil

Handful parsley, chopped


Make a marinade by combining the garlic, lemon juice and zest, chilli and olive oil. Skewer the prawns and sausage rounds, alternating between the two, using three prawns per stick. Marinate for 20 minutes. Braai both sides until prawns are cooked.
