Sirloin with tomato, mozzarella and basil


Choose 2 x 200g sirloin or ribeye steaks with lots of marbling for flavour

Olive oil

Juice of 1 lemon

2 tomatoes, cut into 1cm slices

100g mozzarella, cut into 1cm slices

Basil leaves

Freshly ground pepper


Marinate the steak in a little olive oil, the juice of 1 lemon and freshly ground black pepper. Heat the salt block until sizzling and place the steak on the block. Next to this add the tomato slices, top with a slice of mozzarella and basil leaves. Cook the steak as you would like it, turning once. We used a salt block for this recipe. Let the meat rest and serve with the tomato and mozzarella slices.
