Sweet Potato Chilli Fries

The combination of the sweetness of the potato with the saltiness and then the spiciness of the seasoning takes these sweet potato chilli fries up a notch.

  • 2 large sweet potatoes
  • Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons chilli powder
  • 2 tablespoons salt

Place the sweet potatoes whole in a saucepan of water and cook for about 15 minutes until soft but still maintaining their shape. Drain and cool. Cut the potatoes into chips and place on a tray to prepare for the grill. Top with a little olive oil. (A spray olive oil would work well to cover the chips.) Mix together the salt and chilli powder and sprinkle over the chips. Place the chips on the grill and cook on both sides until nicely browned. Serve with extra seasoning if needed.
