DIY Tool Rack

Store your garden tools neatly and efficiently with this mighty simple tool rack.

What you need

  • 2 x 1050mm x 70mm x 30mm planks (uprights)
  • 10 x 250mm x 25mm dowels
  • Wood glue
  • Woodoc Water-Borne
  • Marine
  • Woodoc Colours (Full Moon)

Steps

1. Sand the pieces of wood and the dowels.

2. Starting at 100mm from one end, make marks every 200mm up on both of the uprights, in the centre.

3. Drill a 25mm hole at each of the marks. Don’t drill all the way through!

4. Apply glue to one end of a dowel and into one of the holes. Insert the dowel into the hole. Repeat steps 3 – 5 for the rest of the dowels.

5. Seal the completed sections.

6. Position the two uprights about 750mm apart against a wall. Screw them to the wall (if wooden) or use wall anchors to attach them to a concrete/brick wall.

7. Store your tools in place!
