Peach Cobbler

Cobblers are an American deep-dish fruit dessert made in various ways, but usually using fruit that is seasonal.

This recipe is simple to make and tasty to eat. Try it with apples and berries. This recipe serves 8 – 10.

Batter:
250g self-raising flour
120g sugar
125g butter, cut into cubes
Extra 125g butter, melted
2 cups milk

Topping:
6 peaches, sliced
60g sugar

Place the melted butter in a deep pie dish. In a food processor add the flour, sugar and the cubed butter. Pulse until the mixture is well combined. Add the milk to form a thick batter. Pour into the pie dish. Place the sliced peaches on top of the batter and sprinkle with sugar. Bake for 45 minutes at 180°C. Serve warm with cream or ice cream.
