Taco Party Salad

Take all the ingredients of a taco dinner and turn it into a party salad for a crowd. Let your guests mix their own flavours to enjoy the pleasure of a spicy-hot and crispy-cool all-in one mouthful.


1 large packet Nacho corn chips, broken into pieces
500g minced beef
1 onion, chopped
1 tablespoon chilli sauce (or to taste)
Iceberg lettuce, shredded
Cheddar cheese, grated
1 avocado, chopped
Coriander, chopped
A selection of cherry tomatoes, halved
2 tablespoons sour cream
Olive oil
Salt and pepper

Add the onion to a pan with a little olive oil and sauté until soft. Add the minced beef and stir until well browned. Add the chilli sauce and heat through. Set aside to cool. To assemble the salad, place all the ingredients in circles on a platter, top with sour cream in the middle and sprinkle with chopped coriander. Leave the corn chips until the last minute before serving, so that they don’t get soggy
